Usher Raymond is, without a doubt, is one of the gigantic R&B icons of all time. His current album “Here I Stand” has already debuted number one in the US Billboard Top 200 and continues to make sales all over the world. His fourth studio albums “Confessions” has been proclaimed as the most successful album in 2004, “received a nine-time platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (Wikipedia).”
That only means Usher is not still losing his spark and is continuing to boomblast the world with his powerful and immense vocals. Yeah! That’s right! I’m aware that several people, myself included, are browsing the net patiently to download the newest real tone craze from Usher.
Imagine if Usher is also conquering your mobile phones by storm? Truth is, his 2008 debut single “Love in the Club” is hailed as one of the most popular and in-demand ringtones in several phone carrier sites.
“Usher tones are so silky, you wouldn’t be surprised to learn that he was signed to his first record contract at age 14. When you get Usher realtones you’ll let everyone know that you’ve also discovered his immense talent early on (EZ-Tracks.com).”
But before I’ll give you the sites you can where you can download Usher’s hot stuffs, there’s another icon in my mind and, like Usher, she’s definitely conquering the world by storm. She’s none other than but the Alicia Keys herself.
Who is Alicia by the way? With over 80 awards in her belt, Alicia Keys is definitely the superwoman. Her first album, Songs in A Minor, received a lot of positive appraisal from the critics and sold over 200,000 during its first-week release in the US. In fact, she was hailed as the Grammy’s Best New Artist in 2002. Her debut single “Fallin’” also won as the Song of the Year and Best R&B Album of 2002.
There’s no stopping for Alicia when she released her second studio album in 2003. The Diary of Alicia Keys skyrocketed to number one spot in US Billboard Top 200 and sold over nine million copies worldwide. Aside from the fact that the album received a tremendous feedback from the critics, it also grab the Best R&B Album at the Grammy’s and her second groundbreaking single “If I Ain’t Got You” conquered the peak of R&B/Hip-Hop Billboard for six weeks.
Keys finally released her first “Unplugged” album in 2005 and luckily, “the album debuted at number one in U.S. Billboard 200 chart with 196,000 units sold in its first week of release (Wikipedia.com).” that same year, she received three outstanding awards including female artist of the year from NAACP Image Awards.
Her third studio album, As I Am, was a worldwide firecracker. Released on November 2007, it went straight at the peak of Billboard 200 with over 700,000 units sold. In fact, her debut single from this album, No One, won the Best R&B Song in 2008 Grammy’s and it’s one of the most requested ringtones worldwide.
Rounding up the list is the talented Ne-yo. I like Ne-yo and his songs are soothing to the ears. He’s not very popular as Usher and Alicia but undeniably, Ne-Yo’s groundbreaking accomplishments are unforgettable.
His debut album, In My own Words, went double platinum and sold over four million copies worldwide. Because of its smooth instrumental sound, So Sick, the second single from the album, reached number one and was tagged as one of the best break up songs of all time. In fact, In My Own Words was nominated as one of the Best Contemporary R&B Album in the 2007 Grammy’s but lost to Beyonce’s B-day.
Truth is, Beyonce’s gigantic hit in B-day, Irreplaceable and stayed at the peak of US Billboard Hot 100 for ten consecutive weeks, was written by Ne-Yo. No matter what, Ne-Yo second album was still a huge success. “Because Of You” sold over 250,000 copies during its first release on 2007. My personal favorite in the the album and his second release, Do You, was climbing the charts everywhere and reached number three in US Billboard R&B Chart. What’s a real taste of victory for Ne-yo was when he won the Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 2008 Grammy’s.
His new suave single “Closer” is slowly climbing the charts and once again, it’s a very popular ringtone worldwide.
